The label behind the hem
HEMM started with a simple fixation: the edge of a garment. The hem is where a piece is finished, and it is where you can tell whether someone cared. We make women's clothing that pays attention to that edge (scalloped, piped, beaded, hand-stitched) and to everything that leads up to it.
We design in small runs and finish every piece by hand before it leaves the studio. Some pieces are ready to ship. Others are made to order, cut to your measurements, because a good fit is worth the wait.
Every stitch, bead and panel is placed with intent. The result is clothing that feels personal: modern in shape, hand-made in detail.
Our philosophy
Hand-finished detail
Scalloped hems, hand-strung beads and stitched vines. We spend our time where it shows: on the edges, the panels and the finishing that makes a piece feel made, not manufactured.
Modern wearability
Generous cuts, soft natural fabrics and easy proportions. Our pieces are designed to move through a real day and slot into the wardrobe you already own.
Considered production
We work in small runs with skilled makers and pay attention to how and where each piece is made. Fewer pieces, made properly.
Quality over quantity
We would rather make less and make it last. Pieces are cut carefully, finished neatly and built to become the ones you reach for again.
